Project Post-Award Information

Account Request

Although some applicants are associated with group projects, BSBC login accounts are granted to individual users, not to groups. Each user associated with a project must obtain their own user account and password. Sharing of account information is strictly prohibited. Users must review all BSBC Policies prior to submitting a request for an account. To request an account on the BSBC cluster, submit your request by e-mail to bsbc_admin@uncg.edu. Requests should include the following information:

  • Name
  • Institution and Section or Department
  • Mailing Address
  • E-mail address
  • Project Title
  • Project association (director, researcher, etc.)
  • Project Award Number
  • If you are the project director, you may include a list of approved users associated with a project (requests for additions or deletions of user accounts associated with a project, must be approved by the project director prior to review by the BSBC steering committee) Note: The award of computer time is per project, not per user in the case of requests for multiple user logins.
  • A statement indicating that you have read and agree to adhere to all BSBC Policies

You will be notified by e-mail regarding the decision to grant access to the cluster. If your request is granted, contact information will be included on how to obtain your password. No passwords will be e-mailed. Passwords should be changed on your initial logon to the cluster. Refer to Password Reset to view rules regarding password integrity enforcement.

All account holders will be automatically placed on the BSBC Mailing List.

Important:  Submission of incomplete requests will not be processed.
