Talk Title: Reprogramming the Tumor Microenvironment to Improve Immunotherapy

Abstract:

Immunotherapy has revolutionized the standard of care in many tumors. The success of immunotherapy in tumors depends on their specific tumor microenvironment (TME). I will talk about various elements of the tumor microenvironment that contribute to immunotherapy (e.g., vessels and subtypes of the immune cells in the TME) outcomes across a broad range of tumors. I will also show how we can use biomaterials to reengineer the TME in favor of tumor rejection.
