“Bridging scales: A molecular perspective on selected problems in environmental (bio) inorganic chemistry ”

Abstract:

Metals play pivotal roles in many aspects of environmental (bio) inorganic chemistry. This talk will presents results from projects focused on understanding the chemical role that metals play in three distinct problems in environmental science: childhood lead neurotoxicity; catalytic biofuels upgrading (hydrodeoxygenation); microbial alkane oxidation in marine environments.
