Abstract:

Radical s-adenosylmethionine (SAM) is used in the biosynthesis of many natural products, such as polyketides and ribosomally synthesized and post translationally modified peptides (RIPPs). This talk will focus on the mechanism of radical SAM with polyketides and RIPPs.
