Our LTQ Orbitrap XL mass spectrometer is routinely used for exact mass analysis of small molecules, and is capable of MSn experiments.

Thermo Fisher Scientific TSQ Access (Triple Quadrupole MS)

 

The triple quadrupole mass spectrometer is equipped with an electrospray ionization source. It is coupled to Water’s Acquity Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography system. This instrument is used for the analysis and quantitation of complex, non-volatile samples such as biological fluids and plant extracts.

  • Available Ionization: micro ESI, APCI and APPI
  • LC-MS capabilities: Water’s Acquity UPLC with UV-Vis diode array detector
  • Mass range: m/z 30-3000, small molecules to intact proteins
  • Resolution: 5000 FWHM at m/z 500

Gas Chromatography-MS (GC-MS) with single quadrupole mass analyzer (QP2010S, Shimadzu)

Our GC-MS is equipped with electron impact ionization and a single quadrupole mass analyzer for the analysis of volatile species. The instrument is attached to an autosampler capable of holding up to 125 samples. Additionally, there is NIST database searching capabilities for compound identification.
