We are excited to see our transcriptome mining paper plushied in BJOC as part of the “young investigators in natural products chemistry, biosynthesis, and enzymology series”! In it, we reassemble 700 public plant transcriptomes to mine potential for side chain crosslinked peptides in plants (burpitides). We found multiple phylogenetic hot spots supported by metabolomics. Congrats to Draco, Michael, and Brigitte!
