On July 30, our high-school students Grace and Daniel finished their participation in the 2020 Draelos Scholars Program. Their participation culminated in presenting about their research project and reflecting on what they’ve learned over the course of the program. In just one month, Grace and Daniel analyzed 230 representations over 40 pages in 3 organic chemistry textbooks! Their presentations included discussion of their scientific, educational, and personal discoveries. We are very impressed by presentations from Grace and Daniel and their ability to learn so quickly and work so efficiently! We are very proud of them and wishing them all the best! We have no doubt that Grace and Daniel will be very successful in their future research endeavors!
Below are two word clouds that were generated by Grace and Daniel to summarize what they’ve learned while working with the Popova group:
And screenshots of Daniel showing us during group meeting some yo-yo tricks and Rubik’s cube skills – he put it together in under 19 seconds!!!
