Dan Kunath won the 2023 Teaching Assistant Award from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry!

Dan went above and beyond to help the students learn! For example, when grading students’ assignments, he consistently provided students with very helpful and constructive feedback. Not only was his feedback technical and detailed, but it was also extremely encouraging and supportive. Dan’s feedback made a big difference in students’ learning experiences. Additionally, Dan deeply cared about providing students with quality instruction and was ready to dedicate as much time to this as was necessary. His attitude is well exemplified in what he once said: “Chemistry is only as good as chemistry education.” When it comes to grading, he did a great job grading promptly and often finished grading well before the due dates. Overall, Dan excelled as a TA! We are so proud of him!
