Shanna won the Forrester Award for her outstanding contributions to the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry!

Shanna has been such a wonderful department citizen and member of the NOBCChE and DEIA committees. Shanna is always very eager to help and support others. She deeply cares about cultivating an environment where everyone is included and respected. She has been one of the leaders of the Student Support DEIA Sub-Committee and spearheaded the development of a very comprehensive welcome packet for graduate students. The packet includes a lot of important information and resources that will certainly make it easier for future graduate students to navigate graduate school and develop a sense of belonging in our Department!
