Bioanalytical Chemistry

Our analytical groups apply sophisticated instrumentation to solve medically relevant problems. We conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis of trace biomolecules, such as natural product metabolites, signaling molecules from bacteria, new biomarkers for diagnosis of diseases, modified nucleotides, of fatty acids. Our groups are also engaged in metabolomics and proteomics projects related to human health, with the goal of systems biological understanding the pathogenesis of human diseases.
