Physical/Computational Chemistry

The Physical Chemistry Division explores chemical and biochemical processes with interpretation based on physical principles. Researchers carry out projects involving molecular systems that range from diatomic and triatomic molecules to multisubunit proteins and nucleic acids. Methods employed include spectroscopy, kinetics, and computational modeling to understand the structures and processes that guide chemical reactions.
